Bathroom 1 Floor Renewal

I mentioned last week that I started tackling the upstairs bathroom because the downstairs bathroom project is moving slower than expected (i.e., we’ve done nothing yet). Earlier in the year I painted the bathroom vanity and replaced the sink here. The bathroom floor has continued to be an eyesore. It’s an old floor. After caulking the tub last weekend, it was time to do something about the  floor.

The floor grout was chipped in places and the looked really old. Enter my two new best friends: a tube of ready to use grout and PolyBlend Grout Renew.

I am really loving the PolyBlend Grout Renew. We have taken on a second project with this stuff and I think it’s amazing.  We first shared this amazing tinted grout sealer when we did the hall floor here.

The first step was to clean out the chipped grout and fill with new grout. Then I had to let this dry for 72 hours. This tube was ready to use and very easy to apply.

After the grout filler was set, it was time to apply the tinted sealer.  You could immediately see the difference.

We chose the color dove white for the sealer this time and I think it turned out perfect!

I couldn’t be happier with the results.  When I look back and see what the bathroom looked like last year compared with today it’s a world of difference without ripping up the floor, vanity, and enduring a major construction project.

I still need to touch up the radiator trim paint and then I think I’m done.  For now…
