Let there be light

I’ve had a love/hate relationship with the light fixture on the side of our garage. I love it when it works. And I hate it when it doesn’t work.

It has failed us every time it rains. There is nothing more fun (insert sarcasm here) coming home on a dark and stormy night to a dark house. And as of last week, the sensor wasn’t working at all.  This was not a good thing now that it’s getting dark out so early and more importantly, Christmas season is fast approaching and UPS deliveries to the door are a must!

So, we took down the old light and found ourselves back at Lowes. By coincidence, we ended up with the same Secure Home light fixture as before but in a darker finish.

Howard quickly installed the new fixture with the help of his electrical toolbox.  Sometimes his organization is very impressive.

I’m glad I didn’t have to help because this was one of those really high ladder projects.

Howard makes it look so easy.

And now we have light again!
