It’s been a few weeks since my last garden update and so much has changed. Well, in terms of big exciting news there isn’t any of that. But, in the realm of plants, we’ve seen a lot growing and changing.
We pulled the sugar snap peas after a really successful crop. This has made more room for the new batch of veggies which includes peppers, beets, carrots, cucumbers and tomatoes….
And squash. Check out the size of this plant! I’m so glad we only have one of these big guys.
We already have little baby cucumbers. So cute!
The chard is still growing well and I’ve been diligent about picking it each week. Sunday night at our house should be called chard night. Right between the chard leaves is the chipmunks latest hole. He doesn’t seem to be eating anything but appears every morning on schedule to check if we’ve planted more edamame. Which we haven’t.
The cone flowers and black eyed susans are in their prime time now. These plants have all doubled in size from last year.
These pink cone flowers are seriously up to my chest in height! I wish Howard had been home last night to take a photo of me next to them for comparison.
I hope everyone has a good weekend!
