Candle Lantern

Back in February I wrote about how the tree company knocked over our post light and broke the light fixture (here).

The broken lantern just sat in our garage since neither of us could throw it away.  The glass in the fixture is really thick and quite pretty.

So, we decided to give the lantern a new indoor life. The project involved a little oil rub bronze spray paint.

And we cut off the metal trim around the glass globe.

And the result is a perfectly odd nautical accessory for our dining room.

I never posted the Friday Garden Update, so I’ll be back with that tomorrow.

I hope everyone had a good weekend!
