Last Friday was all about beets. And one very small carrot that I was told was very tasty.
Howard roasted the beets in foil and then dropped them into cold water to peel them. Then I sliced them and topped them with a little goat cheese. Delicious!
The carrots are still too small to harvest but are growing rapidly.
The garden overall is doing much better than last year.
Last year we struggled with the brussels sprouts. But this year they appear to be thriving.
And to add a little color to this post, I have to share this neon pink flower that is growing in the landscaped area next to the garden.
