Friday Garden Update

Once again, I am late with the Friday Garden Update. Maybe it’s because I’ve been busy grieving the loss of our zucchini plant. It gave us one last giant zucchini before we said goodbye.

We are guessing that the leaves got heavy with water from some of the storms we’ve had and broke the branches.

It’s always sad to lose such a great garden plant but we’ve taken opportunity to plant some kale for the fall. The zucchini really took up a lot of space.

The cucumber plant is growing so fast that the cucumbers are growing about a quarter-inch each day. I love how they are climbing the fence and keeping the crop off the ground!

There are also a lot of veggies that are almost ripe for the picking. These include the carrots, peppers and tomatoes.

I hope everyone had a great weekend!
