Thanksgiving for Two

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday yesterday. We had a quiet day at home – just the two of us.  Howard cooked. I set the table.

It’s rare that we use the dining room. Our kitchen island is where we eat most of our meals. But I decided it would be special to sit the table and not on a wooden stool.

Since I don’t eat meat, Howard made a vegetarian feast.  It included butternut squash soup – my favorite!

Apple cider roasted root vegetables

And vegetarian stuffing dressed with rosemary from our herb garden.

After dinner and a shower, I tossed on my pjs and made a pear pie.  I didn’t expect Howard to pick up the camera. Next time I’ll wear some nicer pajamas.

We had enough food for a small army and will be eating leftovers all weekend. Except there isn’t much of the pie left after having seconds for breakfast.

How was your Thanksgiving? Have a great weekend everyone!
