Another Year of Mulch

Howard and I had quite the argument discussion about how much mulch we should order this year. Should we order six or seven yards? He wanted more and I wanted less. I placed the order but kept the amount secret until we finished mulching the yard.

Over the past few weekends we have weeded, trimmed the hedges, and edged the garden beds. So putting down the mulch went pretty smoothly.

Except for the fact that it was 95 degrees outside and sunny. But all the flowers seemed to be happy about that and really started to pop.

The areas in the shade are a little late to bloom. So our oak leaf hydrangea are only green at the moment.

And the row of blue hydrangea have not blossomed but are showing a lot of little buds.

When we are done mulching the landscaped areas this is what remained.  It was enough for a few “special projects” which I didn’t know about when I ordered the mulch.

I was lucky there was enough mulch left. More on those projects later in the week.

So how much did I order? Six yards. Just enough.
