Three Coats of Paint

Note: I accidentally titled this post Three Coats of Pain at first.  It was a total mistake but pretty funny considering all of the painful work the painting took!

While the bathroom project is still underway here, we’ve been busy with the Cape kitchen project also.  The super awesome cabinet paint we chose (more here) took forever to dry between coats so it was much more than a weekend projects. And we put on three coats of paint just to be sure. The paint also said to then wait another 3 to 5 days before using the cabinets. Torture.

After a Saturday night of installing new hardware and adjusting door heights we are back in business.

We also sacrificed a gorgeous beach day to wait for Home Depot to deliver our new fridge. Just like the sink in our bathroom project, we picked the one that fit.  Like the only one that fit – with an internal water dispenser of course.  Ain’t she bright and shiny? Having a counter depth fridge makes a huge difference in the kitchen.

Next up, painting the purple walls and installing a back splash.
